About Emily Wood
Emily is a young, female stand up comedian based in Durham in the North East of England. Her gigs often take her to Newcastle and Sunderland though in future she expects, and hopes, to travel further afield. Though only a 'newbie' in the world of comedy having only been gigging for a year, she is very serious about being funny. Emily is an observationalist comic which means she makes jokes out of the everyday, the simplest events can inspire her and as such her material is always funny and fresh.
Emily performed her first gigs at events such as JokeBusters, Comedy Pick & Mix and the Laughin' Lasses. She has also performed at the Comedy Volcano, LONG LIVE COMEDY and Rib Ticklers among others. Be sure to check back regularly for news and updates!

Recently, Emily has opened her own comedy night in Durham called Queenie's Comedy Quest which is only £2 for a night of laughs!
Currently, Emily is also working on Project This! a movie review Podcast with her friend, Richie Lumley.

Hello again! I've been super busy lately with the lovely Richie working on the podcast and also setting up Queenie's Comedy Quest. The opening night is at the end of this month and I'm really excited about it, do tell your friends and come down, it's only £2! The bigger turn out we get on the first night the more likely it is that there will be more. Thanks!
